I painted this 2008 Christmas Tree ornament representing
the state
of Nebraska that was hung on the Christmas
Tree in the
White House in Washington DC on
December 02, 2008.
Marty Amsler contacted me
by phone in search of an air brush artist .
Marty's
firm and associates designed the bulb featured. I painted
the entire bulb and airbrushed the sand hills cranes around the perimeter,
a graphic's art company cut the vinyl lettering and placed it
on the bulb and I completed the project spraying an automotive
clear coat on the entire bulb to give it a glass
appearance.
With Marty's request, I painted
the six names on the bottom of the
bulb that
where involved in the entire project. Marty flew to
Washington DC to be present for the
dedication of the Christmas Tree bulb
for
the State of Nebraska. I received an invitation from Laura Bush
to attend the White house
dedication but was unable to attend
due
to a car accident my wife was involved during this time frame.
